Specifically developed for high altitude activities like hiking, skiing, climbing, snowboarding, mountaineering and backpacking, the Julbo Epic sunglasses with AltiSpectron X6 lenses deliver 100% UV protection while allowing only 5% visible light transmission. Julbo emphasizes the importance of this design in bright snow conditions where ice and snow crystals reflect at least 85% of ultraviolet waves (the UV intensity increases as you gain altitude). Julbo Epic sunglasses feature special peripheral wraps called Shell Sun Stops to minimize brightness behind the lenses. These removable side shields replicate snow goggle coverage with far better durability than traditional snow goggle fabrics.
