Waterproof for the untracked powder and superbly reinforced for the cast-iron corduroy, The North Face Montana Mitt has a waterproof and breathable HyVent™ insert wrapped in plenty of abrasion-resistant synthetic gripper reinforcement material on the outside. It's loaded with the same high-end features found on more expensive ski mitts and gloves (goggle wipes, nose wipes, and stash pocket for extra wipes) without sending your skiing, climbing and snowboarding budget into double-diamond difficulties. The overall design is articulated for enhanced hand mobility and the Heatshield insulation doesn't overly muffle your sense of dexterity, but keep in mind that this is an alpine mitt and there are limits to the dexterity.
