we cut it up to use the material as badges. This was my first kayak ever - it unites the DISADVANTAGES of an inflatable and a hardshell kayak ! - I was told it's possible to do the eskimoroll with this - but we didn't find anybody who could. As it is a decked boat with quite a small cockpit rim it impedes a fast wet exit. - The floor inflated is thick, so the boat rides up rather high which gives a high point of balance - that results in low stability. Then the boat is wide compared to hardshell kayak. A wide kayak is a slow kayak. The comfort in it is great as everything around is soft - inflated.. I did several day long expeditions on Sumatra/ Indonesia in it. It's quite a small package to carry around deflated. But You have to see that eventually You have to bring a pump with You as well when You trek into the jungle. The interior hardly leaves enough space for selfsupporting trips. ( The expeditions had a raft going with us for carrying gear ). So if You think You want to take the Traveller backpacking and then do selfsupported tours for several days- forget it. Workmanship / quality: so so: parts of the outside tubes appeared rough - the coating wasn't done properly. Finally the inflated rear top part of the boat popped - overinflation happens easily in tropical sun, mistake of the guides who were using the boat - but usually they do not overinflate the rafts as they know about the problem. After we bought some hardshells, nobody was using this kayak anymore and we cut it into pieces to use the material to badge-up rafts. I wasted a lot of time learning kayaking with this inflatable. As a carry-around kayak I would never consider a decked inflatable again - better choice may be hypalon boats from german SPREU, french AQUADESIGN or, if You prefer PVC, chinese TRIBUTARY Strikes. American AIREs are too expensive.
