Very Practical If you want to avoid chafing from shorts and want to have the ultimate in ventilation, a kilt/skirt is the way to go, assuming you don't mind the curious stares.

Love Mine! I have 3 of these and wear them every chance I get. The comfort is unbelievable. Guys, if you have never experienced the sensation of wearing a skirt/kilt and having the breeze right where it counts most, you are missing a simple pleasure which societal conventions have denied you. To heck with said conventions -- get yourself one of these and don't look back!

Cool on long hikes I used to always buy those zip off hiking pants, that was until I read the reviews on this item and bought the mountain Kilt to try out. This is comfortable and allows for cool hiking even in hot humid weather. So break away from the crowd, get comfortable. Like the saying goes---A man wearing a Kilt is a man and a half.
