loose your hard shell! Very nice shell. I have worn it in all kinds of weather and it has responded like a champ.in cold weather I wear an expedition weight baselayer with the jacket and in warmer weather just drop it down to a lightweight base and your all set.Unless you are climbing in the Himalayas or attempting denali this is the shell to have. My only complaint is the womans version has a hood and the mans does't Whats up with that Mountain Hardwear?

AWESOME! North Face really brags about their "core vents" which dont really work because they are placed just perfectly to be completely occluded by your backpack straps. MH doesn't call it out as a feature, but this jacket has core vents too, and they actually work because they are not immediately under your backpack straps!!! Great jacket for the money!
