Excellent Sun Hat I found that OR's Sombriolet Sun Hat met all the qualifications for a good hat to wear in the sun. It provides ample shade from the sun from all angles; I wear a large size and the brim measures 3.25" on the front and sides, 4.5" on the back. The mesh opening ventilates very well, allowing sweat to dry on long, sunny hikes. It fits comfortably; the rim reaches to my eyebrows and top of ear tips, whereas OR's Seattle and Coastal Sombreros sat uneasily an inch above my brows. While the brim holds its flat shape, the crown of the hat is supple on the outside material as well as for the inner mesh. I really enjoy using this hat for my long summer hikes as well as when I'm outside during work.

Excellent ventilation and durable construction Outdoor Research manufactures great products and the Sombriolet Sun Hat exemplifies their standards. The hat has great ventilation and construction. Easy to care and wash. Wide brim offers great sun protection. Good looking and comfortable.

Sombriolet Sun Hat This is the coolest hat I have ever had. I spend a lot of time outside in the summer with my job and it keeps the sun off me.
