great pack Pros: Very versatile, unexpectedly capacious, very comfortable, durable, and light without the laptop case. So good that I'm buying a new one. Cons: None, really. It does look just a little bit bulky (and only just), but considering its volume, I wouldn't change a thing. I would have enjoyed hydration ability, as I also use it while riding my motorcycle, but this is going way beyond the purpose of this pack. I stumbled upon the Giga II by luck. I was given this pack as a gift from my company. 6 years later, after being thrown all sorts of weighty, pointy-edged, etc. materials as well as a not-so-light laptop, and after being used almost every single day, it is still holding together. First, it has served as my daily work pack during this time, holding my laptop and files. It was so comfortable and had so much space for everything that I would need that despite the need to wear a suit, I couldn't go back to a laptop case after using the Giga II. Especially as I travelled quite a bit, it looked like a laptop case but provided quite a bit of additional space beside my carry-on. It has also been used for short hikes as well as shopping for the past 3.5 years. Capacity is unexpectedly large compared to its size. Though never subjected to heavy downpour, little moisture seeps through. I don't recall anything ever getting wet in light to moderate rain. All this, and it's also the most comfortable backpack I have ever used. As I couldn't find a Giga II where I live, I've tried other brands. However, I always ended up going back to the Giga II. Despite being old & a bit beaten, it's still far more versatile and comfy than anything else out there. In addition, the removable laptop case enables this pack to be quite light. No built-in padding means when the laptop case is removed, the pack is as light as such durable packs get, as well as providing additional capacity. I also use this pack while riding my motorcycle. The shoulder and waist straps keep it fastened well enough without the need for chest straps. As long as the contents are compressed using the compression straps on the side, the weight doesn't move around much. And did I mention how durable, comfy and capacious the Giga II was?
