Great backcountry ski axe I bought a Snowracer to use when backcountry skiing. The snowracer feels comfortable in your hand and gains good penetration despite it's (lack of) weight. It's worked flawlessly in self belay when ascending a glacier and for cutting steps on a traverse. Best of all, it's light enough that you don't notice it on your pack (where axes seem to spend the greatest amount of time).
