Great Warm Jacket This past weekend in New York was cold and windy, wind chill 11 degrees, I had this jacket out so I wore it with a polo shirt, warm and comfortable. The fit with Mountain Hardware is perfect for me, they do not give you the extra long sleeves so this will be my company of choice. There equipment is well made and should last.

SWEATER JACKET Its competition is the North Face Thunder and the Patagonia Down Sweater. It is slightly heavier than both but in return it is warmer. Its pockets and chin are lined for greater comfort and its fit is body contoured. Being a resident of Montana, I find it to be ideally suited for the climate here. It can be worn alone or in a shell.

Too Short In Front MH makes their down jackets for men too short in the front. The hooded subzero is the same. The warmth is good to 20F. Raglan sleeves are VERY welcome. The pockets have fleece only on ONE side--how come not the entire pocket--after all, it's made for deep frigid winter. The material is flimsy/light and thus allows feathers to pop out. The stitch through construction will let itself be known when really cold winds will cut into you through the stitch--gets you easily chilled! Needs better pockets on the inside.

Is this Useful? - Yes - No ( 0 of 1 thought this was useful.)
