Very useful for winter hiking Used this when I went snowshoeing. It was an absolute necessity since we sat on snow everyday for lunch and snack breaks. It's super light.

Don't leave home without one! Protects you from cold, hard rocks, damp ground, wood splinters, etc. Compacts to fit in a jacket or pants pocket.

Wonderful!!!! I have back problems and this helps when I have to sit in uncomfortable cold folding chairs. I bought it for flying but have not tried it for that yet... but think it will help in the padding department.
