Created with a wider waist than the Broomstix, the Roxy Shazam ski is a lightweight and lively wood core ski that doesn't have the rubber dampening Sweet Spot technology in the tip and tail. If you're not into big jumps in the pipe and park but you want a responsive, easy turning all-mountain ski, the Shazam is a great pick. The wide waist rips through crud and floats above powder (especially when sized properly) so it's ideal for women who like to ski a little further off the groomed trails than the weekend resort crowds. To balance out the pop in the wood core, Roxy added an ABS inclined sidewall that enhances the edge grip on hardpack. While narrower than the Roxy Helter Skelter, the Shazam retains a similar GS-style turn radius for women who like to rip down the mountain.
