Based on Chris Sharma's climbing expertise and design ideas, the Evolv Pontas Rock Climbing Shoe was developed. An all-around high performance shoe, the Pontas fuses precision, power, and responsiveness in an excellent glove-like fit. The heel fits securely from base of the heel to the achilles without discomfort and deadspace.

Equipped it with an extended toe rand that is functional for toe-hooking without feeling excessive and the tri-grooves relieves pressure off the big toe, the Pontas has a 3/4 length semi stiff midsole providing the ideal balance of edging power and responsiveness from toe through the arch.

These shoes rock! I have been climbing in the Pontas for the last three months, in the gym and outside and am super impressed by the fit and the rubber. Evolv seem to have nailed the fit with the synthetic, as these don't stretch so I didn't need to size them smaller and work through the pain. I would highly recomend these!

Comfort and perfect edging power. I highly recommend this shoe due to the perfect edging power,comfort of the Tri-groove toe and perfect heel cup. The Pontas is great for a long redpoint in Smith or a series of toe-hooks in Hueco. The price point stands out as an affordable contender with La sportiva and Five Ten.
