No Competition I did not want to write a review until I had got this thing wet, I mean really wet, I have to say I am truly impressed. Marmot has outdone themselves with this material. Michigan early summer rain that was slightly heavier than standing in my shower and not a drop of bleed through or the slightest bit of clamminess. Every inch of me that wasn't covered was completely soaked, bone dry under the Mica though. What is even more impressive is how light this jacket is. I researched and tried on nearly every other super-light jacket out there and nothing else compares. This jacket feels roughly half the weight to the closest PacLite jacket and in my opinion performs as well or better, furthermore it will pack down to roughly the size of a tennis ball. Highly recommended!

miracle fabric This is the lightest rainproof jacket I have ever had and the fabric is much stronger than I expected. It remained without snags during a rainy descent from Bassett Peak in the Galiuro Wilderness. AND, it kept me dry and warm during the storm!

Good jacket Maybe its just me - size L is slightly too small, XL slightly too large. I'm 6' 185lbs. Zipper takes some getting used to because its on the wrong side. Construction is good and waterproofing seems on par with other brands.
