Really nice jacket i'm 6'2", 185, with slightly shorter arms than avg. The Large jacket fits great. I'm really pleased with this jacket. First of all, it looks great and is smartly designed. The sleeves are comfortably made for a wide range of movement, and the cuffs are tapered to be longer opposite the thumb. I like this feature. The sleeves stay long enough when you reach, but don't bunch up and get in the way normally. The zippers all work really well. They are smooth and don't catch on material easily. The length is nice too, tapered to cover more butt. The pockets are smartly placed, not too far up like on many jackets. There are also two front pockets that are high up on the chest, and what i like here is that they are symmetrical. I'm driven crazy by a pocket here and a zipper there that don't match on both sides. The patagonia logo is also tasteful. I can't stand obnoxious logos (mtn hardware). The hood. It is a bit large, but not crazy large. I have a big melon head, and when i cinch everything up, there's still extra space, giving a slight conehead or alien type of look. I've found that flipping the visor part back or under helps this greatly. And, if it is really coming down, i'm happy to have that visor regardless of appearance. I've found the warmth to be pretty good too. I don't use it to ski, but to lead groups outside on nature tours. With layers, I've been on several 3-4 hour walks at humid 20-30something conditions. I was very toasty. I haven't truly tested the waterproof nature of the shell, but I'm guessing it's 100% as advertised! I hope this helps someone. Just get it.
