Arbor liked bamboo in their high-end designs because the wood has a tensile strength and weight-to-strength ratio that exceeds steel--without putting excess weight into the lively core design. The Coda also has a structural bamboo topsheet that acts as a third layer of fiberglass across the surface. The combination of resin and dense natural fibers in this veneer add amazing structural integrity while enhancing the lively response, without the added ounces that deaden other snowboards of similar durability. Arbor applied their standard progressive sidecut to the Coda, so you enjoy quick turn imitation and tight arcs through a blended tri-radial sidecut. This sidecut also enhances the stability at higher speeds and potentially helps keep you in control during hard landings. Blended urethane ABS sidewalls give the Coda excellent edge hold performance and accentuate this snowboard's exceptional durability.
