The Nordica Hot Rod Igniter Ti ski features a XBI (X Balance Integrated) binding interface that transmits consistent pressure in a smooth ski flex from your boots to the ski edges for improved stability, balance and control. Extra heel pressure from the back of the ski is transferred through the XBI system interface to the area in front of the binding, redistributing your skiing power unlike anything else available on the market, and this can help correct balance errors where you're either too far forward or too far back over the ski. The result of XBI is something Nordica calls "glued to the snow" but we like to think of it as excellent edge hold. This two-spring design averts potential unintended releases while you're skiing, but still facilitates binding release during a twisting fall.
